Liam Gallagher sent Oasis fans into a frenzy by replying on X that the band's newly announced 2027 tour "isn't a farewell tour but it still could be our last." The 42-date Live '27 run follows the sold-out Live '25 reunion, while the documentary 'Oasis: Don't Look Back in Anger' premiered at the Venice Film Festival last month.
The comment came on September 23, when a fan told Liam the 2027 tour wasn't a farewell. The frontman replied: "It isn't a farewell tour but it still could be our last." He later added: "This could be the last time so get involved." For a fanbase that spent nearly 15 years waiting for the Gallagher brothers' feud to end and the band to reunite, the remark landed like a cold shower — though Liam is notorious for stirring the pot with fans, and his words are to be taken with the usual pinch of salt.
The Live '27 tour was announced on September 14 after months of speculation. Noel revealed the band decided to go again after their second Wembley show of the Live '25 tour in July 2025: "We were having such a great time... why wouldn't we?" Phenomenal demand has expanded the run to 42 shows across Scotland, England, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Italy, the US and Ireland — including 11 nights at Manchester's Etihad Stadium, five at Glasgow's Celtic Park, six at Knebworth and two at Slane Castle. The six-night Knebworth return, at the site of their history-making 1996 concerts, sets the record for the most dates at the estate, eclipsing the three Robbie Williams performed there in 2003. All 42 dates have sold out, and the band has confirmed no further dates will be added.
Noel has been equally non-committal about the future. Speaking on talkSPORT, he confirmed there would be no new music accompanying the 2027 dates — the band's first since 2008's 'Dig Out Your Soul' — and when asked whether he could imagine Oasis continuing beyond the run, replied simply: "I don't know." Ticketing has followed a registration model: only fans who signed up in time receive unique, non-transferable codes for timed onsale windows, with the UK sales running across September 25-27.
Meanwhile the reunion has been documented in 'Oasis: Don't Look Back in Anger', which premiered in the Sala Grande at the Venice Film Festival in September and arrived in cinemas this month, capturing the brothers rebuilding their relationship on the comeback tour. Noel has promised the 2027 shows will be "so much better" than 2025 because the band will be "way more relaxed". What comes after — new music or a graceful exit — remains, as ever with the Gallaghers, gloriously unresolved.
