Chris Brown's ex-partner Diamond Brown accused the singer of "disturbing behavior," including alleged death threats toward her romantic partners, in an October 1 court declaration filed amid their child-support battle over their 4-year-old daughter Lovely.
In the declaration, obtained by USA Today and TMZ, Diamond Brown said the singer, 37, has continuously harassed her and threatened men she has dated since their breakup about two years ago. "He has made death threats against my most recent boyfriend, and continued threats to not only him, but also to his twin brother. I understand that he has also had third parties make threats," she alleged. She claimed both relationships ended because of Chris Brown's harassment: "Both of these relationships broke up because of Chris's Harassment. I should not be left to be scared to move on with my life because of Chris's anger and resentment." She said he gets "extremely angry" when she dates other men despite having a new partner himself, with whom he has welcomed another child.
Diamond Brown also accused the singer of refusing to provide sufficient financial support for Lovely's basic needs, and said he has not asked to see their daughter in six to seven months. "I am trying everything I can not to have to resort to a Domestic Violence Restraining Order — and hoping that Christopher agrees to stop this scary behavior," she wrote. "I feel that I have been living under siege and would appreciate the right to peaceful enjoyment of my life."
Chris Brown hit back on his Instagram Story shortly after the filing became public. "NOT ENTERTAINING IGNORANCE!" he wrote. "Not allowing me to have time with my child so you can run with a false narrative to the court is disgusting. There is no 50/50 parenting. I LITERALLY PAY FOR EVERYTHING, her cars (2), her HOUSE, SCHOOLING, MEDICAL, and 10K a month. I haven't seen my daughter in 7 months." His attorney also denied the allegations in an email to Diamond Brown's legal team: "Chris denies this," the email read, asking for specifics so the claims could be addressed.
None of the allegations has been proven in court, and the reporting does not indicate that Chris Brown has been criminally charged over the alleged threats. But the declaration raises the temperature of what was already a bitter custody and financial dispute — one now playing out through court filings, dueling public statements, and a restraining order Diamond Brown says she hopes she won't have to seek.
