Veteran radio DJ Glenn Ong, 55, has sparked dating rumours after posting photos with his arm around Filipino actress Jonica Lazo, 23, at a Singapore wine event — and telling The Straits Times he would “neither admit nor deny” a romance.

In a social media post on September 30, the Kiss92 presenter welcomed Lazo to Singapore, including a photo of themselves with his arm around her at what he described as a “great weekend party” at local wine outlet Harvest & Cellar. Other photos in the same post showed him having drinks with her and a group of friends at the same venue. When asked by The Straits Times if they were dating, Ong declined to give a straight answer, saying he would neither admit nor deny it — the classic non-denial that only fanned the flames.

Lazo, 23 years old in February 2024 and a graduate of UST Angelicum College in Quezon City, the Philippines, is an actress with a growing profile. Her IMDb page lists roles in several recent films, including the horror movie Isolated (2025) and the drama She Means Business (2025), as well as 12 episodes of the comedy television series WowMani (2025). Her Instagram account, which has around 168,000 followers, includes posts of her in Singapore, including one dated September 24 featuring her in a bikini at Siloso Beach Resort. She has 109,000 followers on Facebook and 41,200 on TikTok.

Ong’s personal life has long been public fodder. He was married for eight years to fellow local radio DJ Jean Danker, 47, a host and presenter on Mediacorp’s Class 95, with the former couple announcing their split in December 2024. It was Ong’s third marriage, following his previous two with the late Kate Reyes and Jamie Yeo, both former radio DJs. In June, he posted on social media that he used to be “unhappily married,” without going into details. In an April interview with The Straits Times, he said: “I’m not looking to move on to another serious relationship because I feel I’ve never had time for myself. I’ve never not been in a relationship.”

Ong hosts The Big Show with Glenn, Angel & Tim on SPH Radio’s Kiss92, alongside Angelique Teo and Tim Oh. He remains one of Singapore’s most recognisable radio voices, with a career spanning decades and a fan base that follows his on-air banter as closely as his off-air life.

Whether the Lazo outing signals a new romance or simply a friendly welcome for a visiting actress, the rumour mill has done its work. In Singapore’s small entertainment ecosystem, a single Instagram post can dominate gossip cycles for weeks — and a “neither admit nor deny” from a veteran DJ is practically an invitation to keep guessing.
