Controversial influencer Andrew Tate remains in federal detention in Miami as he fights extradition to the United Kingdom, where newly disclosed court documents contain some of the most disturbing allegations yet against him — all of which he denies.

The UK formally asked the United States to extradite Tate and his brother Tristan in September. The brothers were arrested in Miami on July 18, 2026, on the UK extradition request. A US magistrate judge denied their bail request, ordering them to remain in detention, after prosecutors argued they pose a flight risk and are dangerous. The brothers deny all allegations.

Court documents filed in the extradition proceeding and made public in early October allege that Tate made and possessed 168 indecent image and video files involving a minor. The files were reportedly found on a phone taken from him while in custody and on devices at his home in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. Prosecutors allege messages recovered from the phone indicated Tate knew the girl was underage, including an exchange in which she referenced her parents discovering the webcam work and him acknowledging potential legal issues because she was 'not old enough.'

The filing also alleges Tate possessed images or videos of people having sex with a horse and an eel, and extreme pornography depicting acts likely to seriously injure genitals — forming four counts of possessing extreme pornography under UK law.

The wider UK case against Tate includes allegations of rape, assault, human trafficking, controlling prostitution for gain and possession of extreme pornography, involving seven complainants and alleged conduct spanning roughly 2010 to 2017. British authorities allege the brothers used a so-called 'lover boy' method to recruit women, presenting romantic relationships before allegedly pressuring them into online pornography work. Court documents allege women were encouraged to travel to Romania, where prosecutors say some became financially dependent on the brothers and were subjected to threats or violence.

In total, the brothers face 59 criminal charges in the UK proceedings. A separate accuser alleged in newly filed documents connected to the extradition case that she was pressured into performing acts she had not agreed to while working at the brothers' alleged webcam operation in Romania, describing the experience as 'sexual slavery.'

Their attorney, Joseph McBride, has rejected the allegations, calling the extreme-porn claims 'prosecution slop' and questioning the attribution of the devices. He told media there is no proof Tate viewed the material and accused British authorities of carrying out a 'political kidnapping.'

The brothers are also facing separate legal trouble in Romania, where prosecutors indicted Andrew Tate in September 2026 on charges including trafficking minors, sex with a minor and money laundering, with Tristan indicted on allegations of complicity. Both deny the Romanian allegations.

As of early October, Reuters reported that the brothers remained jailed in Miami and that a date for their final extradition hearings had not yet been set. Extradition proceedings decide only whether the brothers will be sent to the UK to face trial; they do not determine guilt.
