The bitter family dispute between Brooklyn Beckham and his parents has taken another deeply personal turn, with the 27-year-old covering up or altering several tattoos dedicated to David and Victoria Beckham.

Fans noticed the changes in photographs showing new artwork across Brooklyn's chest. One of the most striking alterations involves a tattoo he got at 18 reading mama's boy, dedicated to his mother Victoria. That tribute has now been covered by a new design believed to depict the bridal bouquet of his wife, actress Nicola Peltz, from their 2022 wedding. A separate anchor tattoo dedicated to his father, accompanied by the word Dad and the year 1975, has also been changed.

The tattoo alterations come months after Brooklyn publicly addressed the breakdown of his relationship with his family. In a series of Instagram Stories posted on January 19, he wrote that he had been silent for years and made every effort to keep the matters private, but that he no longer wished to reconcile. I do not want to reconcile with my family, he wrote. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life.

Brooklyn accused his parents of trying endlessly to ruin his relationship with his wife and of controlling the messaging around his life, referring to performative social media posts and inauthentic relationships. Brand Beckham comes first, he wrote, claiming that family love was decided by how much you post on social media. He gave specific examples, including a claim that his father had refused to see him and Nicola privately during a visit to London for David's birthday, meeting them only when hundreds of guests and photographers were present.

The origins of the feud date back to disagreements surrounding Brooklyn and Nicola's 2022 wedding in Palm Beach, Florida. In August, it was confirmed the couple no longer celebrate the date of that first ceremony, instead marking the anniversary of their vow renewal on August 2, 2025.

In June, Brooklyn posted an advert for the food delivery service DoorDash in which he appeared to mock the family rift, prompting broadcaster Piers Morgan to brand him the Prince Harry of spoiled brat entitled sons and accuse him of cashing in on the dispute for money.

David and Victoria have largely avoided direct public responses, though the former footballer posted family photographs for Father's Day in June with the message I love you all. The dispute has become one of the most talked-about celebrity family feuds of the year.
